Few things are more beautiful to paint than still-water lakes or winding country streams.
No other feature in nature changes shape, color, or moods quite like water. It creates confusing visual effects, like seeing clouds from above and the lake bottom below at the same time as well as the reflected upside down landscape.
In this two day workshop, Richard Jordan, Director of the Plein Air Artists of West Michigan, will share his approach to painting convincing water, point out common mistakes and how to avoid them. He will paint classroom and lakeside demonstrations and give one on one instruction as well as group wide critiques.

About the Artist
Richard Jordan is the founder and director of the Plein Air Artists of West Michigan. He has been painting exclusively en plein air for nearly two decades. In 2013, Richard began teaching plein air workshops in locations across Michigan.
