Are you an artist with frames laying around your studio that have been nicked or dinged in a Gallery or show? Or maybe you just have some frames that the finishes have become outdated or never were quite "Gallery worthy"? What artist doesn't! This workshop will cover a lot of ground in 4 short hours. It will give you suggestions, recommendations and demonstrations on "tricks" you can use to make those "so-so" frames into spectacular frames! We will cover several different kinds of finishes, as well as evaluating the potential of frames that you bring in to the workshop. Save money and give your artwork your own unique vision on the framing!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

I have been in the restoration business for almost 40 years and have learned tricks and shortcuts for fixing up those frames that need a little help.  Whether they have been damaged in storage or handling, or maybe they have a nice profile but an outdated finish, I can show you some ways to give them a new life!  

Bring one of your own frames to the workshop with you and we can discuss some possible ways to approach a new finish.  I will also be doing some demos for a "timeless warm black" finish as well as the basics for metal leafing.
