How to Create 3-D Effects in Your Work

  • Pickle Street School Studio 2980 134th Avenue Hopkins, MI, 49328 United States (map)

with Sharon Griffes Tarr

  • Three day workshop: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, June 25, 26 and 27, 2020

  • 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily

  • $290.00

Have you ever struggled with creating believable folds in fabrics and creating volume in round objects for that 3-D effect? Do your subjects sometimes appear flat and lack the look of space around objects? If so, then this workshop is for you.

How we use and portray light effects, value and color temperature are essential in creating visual distance and the feeling of space in art. This workshop will address these three elements through lectures, instructor demo’s and from life examples with plenty of hands on attention for each student. Working from still life set ups, as well as landscape photographs, students will learn to apply volume to objects and spatial separation of subject matter.

APPROPRIATE for all skill levels including beginners to advanced students. Personalized attention at each student’s level of expertise.

MATERIALS TO BRING:

Students will provide their own materials. A supply list will be sent out prior to the workshop.
