ABOUT THE ARTIST

Encouraged as an artist from a young age, Diane began painting professionally in her mid-thirties. Since then, she has been juried into over 80 local, regional, and national exhibitions and received awards, along with having paintings published in several art magazines, articles, and books. She teaches painting workshops, and painting/life coaching workshops using her self-published “Composition Handbook for Painter with Life Application.”

Exploring her impressions, moods, and love of the landscape through painting, Diane paints in oils with palette knife. Color, shape and rhythm are the basic elements she uses to explore her love of the natural world, in her impressionistic landscapes and in her more abstracted oil/cold wax/mixed media landscapes. She also paints and teaches privately in her studio in Grand Haven, Michigan.
